About Gran Alicante

We are 12 kilometres from the city of Alicante and 9 kilometres from Alicante Airport and within 20 minutes of the historical city of Elche. Gran Alacante is situated between Alicante and the charming fishing village of Santa Pola, where at some yearly occasions festivals take place - well worth visiting!

There are a number of facilities where you can enjoy all sports including, paragliding, kayak, mountain bike, catamaran sailing and all kinds of water sports through our associate partners.

 Shops

There are many places to shop.....Santa Pola, a nearby fishing town provides beautiful boutiques to browse, Alicante City has lots of choice for shopping including two indoor shopping centres with shops like Claires Accessorise and Zara.......perfect for a gal who likes to shop!

For food shopping, there are many supermarkets to chose from - the most highly recommended is the Mercadonna which sells an amazing selection of fresh fish (great for those seafood lovers).

Restaurants

Not even a minutes walk from the property, you can find the nearest restaurants which provide traditional Spanish Food like Paella, Italian Pizza and Pasta restaurants, there's even an Irish pub and a Fish and Chips shop!

Locals have also now organised a bus, which for 1 euro, will transport you to the Grand Alacant centre (GA Centre) - Here you can take your pick from many restaurants and bars.  Here, you can also find live bands and other entertainments.  There's also a very interesting sushi bar - great if you love sushi.

    

Gran Alacant offers a wide variety of properties, sports facilities, banks, restaurants, bars, doctors, pharmacies,  internet cafés  and supermarkets.  The golf course is only 15 minutes away by car. 

Santa Pola

Santa Pola Santa Pola is located on the southern part of the Costa Blanca, approximately 17 kilometres south of Alicante. It has long been a fishing town, and indeed Santa Pola’s fishing harbour is one of the largest in the Mediterranean.

Santa Pola Port is a great place to visit for all the family.  It is possible to see the big fishermen arrive back at port with their daily catch.  All the fish are unloaded from the boats into the fish market.

The Marina is also a beautiful place to sit, relax and have a berverage - it is possible to have food here or to try the spanish specialities such as Saladia or Crab salad.

The Beaches

In this area, there are several beautiful beaches.  The closest beach offers a beach bar where you can buy a cold refreshing drink or ice creams.  There are even masseurs who offer full body massages for 20 euros!

Alicante

For the shopper, this is an ideal place to visit - there are several shopping centres to chose from or there is the market which runs all through the Alicante city.  This city also has its own marina which displays more beautiful boats.l

Water Parks

There is a selection of water parks, accessible by car or bus within the area.  Benidorm comes highly recommended as attached to the water park is a magnificent dolphin show, which cannot be missed!
